Ink & Booze

So, as promised, my first review will be of my husband, Drew Sumner AKA Drew Askew of Ink & Booze! I'm so proud of everything he does, so for me it makes sense to start off with the man who got me into this wonderfully nerdy world in the first place!

So, Drew is the creator of Jupiter - a comic about a luchador turned private investigator who ends up investigating some rather spooky and paranormal activities.

He has also done the illustration for Tom Coleman's children's book called 'I need a Pea'!

Please come check him out at Thought Bubble this weekend!

Thought Bubble has Landed!

Good evening folks!

Well I have finally arrived in Leeds for Thought Bubble.

Thought Bubble is an annual festival that celebrates sequential art in all its forms, and takes place every November at venues across Leeds and beyond!
2016’s festival will take place 1st – 6th November, and will have a huge programme of events including film screenings, workshops, and the centre-piece comic convention on 5th and 6th November at Leeds Dock!

My rather talented and dashing husband, known in the comic book world as Drew Askew, has a table in New Dock Hall in the Royal Armouries, and I'm joining him this weekend to celebrate all the amazing artists and illustrators out there.

Now, let's set the record straight here - my drawing abilities are pretty much limited to stick people. BUT, I love a great comic and supporting independent artists, so I'm using my blog to review all my favourite illustrators and artists from Thought Bubble this weekend.

So, on that note, my first review will be celebrating my husband, Drew Askew, as I am super proud of him and the work he does.

And keep your eyes peeled, as I'll be reviewing loads more this weekend!
